As a freshman in high school and at the age of fifteen, I decided I wanted to build a 3D Printer. After six months, I had accomplished my goal. I build the wooden body with my grandfather. All of the Red parts were 3d printed with the school's MakerBot. I designed all of the 3D printed parts in CAD with exception to the LCD Display and Z axis coupling. All of the electronics and additional mechanical components were ordered off of the internet. Then I reassembled everything to make a working machine. Overall, it was a great learning experience.
